TOPIC: Multi Tennancy Support

Multi- tenancy means that I can create private learning groups where a manager has basic admin rights to enroll and view their groups quiz results and run reports. However they have no access to any other groups.


Ideally this would also allow personalized branding for each group as well

Is this a function that is available now? Or is it in development. I would very much like to implement the private group functions on the website we are building now. Please let me know if this is an available function. - thanks much! - Barron

This is a feature that one client has already requested.
It has been placed here so that people like yourself can comment on this and support it.

The more support and features that we receive, the higher the chance there is that we will add it to a future version.

its not currently available yet.
It may be done in the future, but currently there are more important tasks.

In my world this would be very important! We have multiple learning groups each group has a different manager and I don't want mangers to access other learning groups. Would be will to pay a little more for this!!

We need this very badly. Our site provides access to courseware for institutions at an institutional level, and it would be wonderful to get activities like user management and reporting off our hands onto the institutions themselves. Currently we perform this work for over 14 institutions with over 800 students.

UPDATE: The development of this feature has now begun.

Looking for suggestions on how you want this to work.
Currently We have it planned as such.
We are moving almost all the admin functionality for content creation to the front end.
We are creating a new user type "creator"
The plan is thus,
The creator comes to your site and registers, and pays a subscription fee.
As the creator, s/he will have the ability to create Certification Paths, courses, lessons and questions.
The creator can create the teacher and assistant user accounts too.
We are giving the creator access to use the creation wizard too as it's so popular and makes the system so easy to us.

When creating certification paths, they will have a new option to select which payment methods should appear in the purchase page. Once selected, they will be allowed to configure it with their own merchant details.

So now, with this new feature, you could sell online lessons to anyone that wants to advertise one.
And they get all the income from their sales, you get the income from their subscription.

Some have asked about getting commission for each payment, but that is not reality. Hardly any system will allow you to split a payment across accounts. I don't know of any, and I've been developing payment gateways for 6 years or more.
So, this subscription system is the only option.
